And by arts, I mean movies. So here's looking forward to the movie season this year. These are the ones I'm really wanting to check out:
10. Monsters vs. Aliens - Title says it all. How can it not be good? Not Pixar, but I'll forgive it, if it has plenty of the cheezy gags which it could have.

9. The Year One - This goes on my list purely for the cast and director. With all this talent, it should be hilarious. I guess the fact that I haven't seen much anything of it yet keeps my hopes high about it as well.
8. Sherlock Holmes - I didn't really think of this movie at first, but once I heard Robert Downey Jr. was in it, I knew it needed to be seen. I don't think I've ever seen him in something bad yet. Well I guess Tropic Thunder excluded, since that was kind of a let down... funny, but not as good as everyone thought. Anyways, Guy Ritchie is directing, which could be bad, or good.
7. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - Thank god they pump these movies out quickly, and keep to the damn books fairly well (so I hear). They are always a delight, and only get darker.

6. X-Men Origins: Wolverine - Can an X-Men movie be done without the rest of the gang? Sure it could. Too bad Sawyer from LOST is not playing Gambit, he would have been perfect. Now, I know Wolverine is the most popular one, but I think that the Magneto movie would be far more interesting. Lets hope this one is good enough to justify them following through with Magneto.

5. Terminator: Salvation - Terminator without Arnold? If anyone but Christian Bale were in it, I would be worried. At least there should be awesome action.

4. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - The last movie was a surprise for actually being good. Now I'm not talking story good, or even acting. But special effects looked good, it entertained, and was a summer blockbuster. Now that character introductions are done with, lets hope we see more robot v. robot action.
3. Star Trek - I've been disappointed with the last several Star Trek movies. Even the enjoyable ones were quickly forgotten. This is a much needed reboot. J.J. Abrams does both good and bad work. So I'm very curious to see how this turns out. The trailer looks awesome, which probably means that fanboys will hate it. But I think it really needs to be updated to something that will survive far into this millennium.

2. Watchmen - Of course you saw this coming. Ever since I first saw the trailer, it just looked awesome. Did I read the graphic novel? No. But the trailer makes me want to.

1. 9 - I'm actually surprised that I'm really into seeing this one. I think what I like about it, is that it looks very Tim Burton-ish (he is producing) without actually being directed by him. I think the trailer is very well done with a good choice in editing and music to make it seem very dark/epic for an animated movie. Lets hope they don't deviate from that.
