So last night I went to my first concert in a really long time. I got to see MC Rut (local band), MGMT, Anti-Flag, Alkaline Trio, and Pennywise. MGMT was pretty weird sounding, but I guess that makes sense given the song they had on the radio. Speaking of radio, it was sponsored by KWOD 106.5 and Rock the Vote. So that meant lots and lots of saying F-U to the government. Anti-Flag and Pennywise were especially vocal about that stuff, and Anti-Flag especially put on a great show. They played everything I could want except for their acoustic sounding song. I was really looking forward to Alkaline Trio, but it turned out they didn't play much from the album which I thought was their best. However I did hear them play "Help Me" which I can't get out of my head now.
Anyways, this concert got me thinking of my music collection. Right now I'm downloading new stuff and consolidating what I have. My music is spread out over Jessica's laptop, some CD's, my media center, and my external backup. Recently I've been listening to death metal type stuff. But the punk show last night got me back into that. This means I need to go to more shows.
So yeah, leave a comment if you think I should download something. Currently, Lee is the only one who turns me on to new bands. Otherwise I just grab something off of good old foropunk or see what is popular on www.Ultimate-Guitar.com
