New Year, New Problems

Ok, just an update on whats been going on in the New Year. For New Year's Eve, I headed off to San Francisco with peeps to go bar hopping and see the fireworks. I only ended up going to 2 bars, and pretty much missing the fireworks. Still, times were fun. I think the best quote of the night was this:

"Come pick me up. I'm tired of waiting outside with all these crackheads." - The girl on the pay phone outside the BART station we were waiting at.

In other news, I am taking 2 classes this quarter, Advanced Semiconductor Devices, or something like that, and Analog MOS Communications Circuits. Sounds pretty smart huh? I also started writing my theses (yeah thats right, two of them). I'll be getting back my chip probably at the end of February, so I want to just be able to test it and then write the conclusions part of my paper.

Oh yeah, Jessica finally got another job to fill in the other days she doesn't work. Now she is my sugar mama so to speak. Although she really can't afford too much since she needs to pay off her loans. But anyways, she'll be working for some sort of Geothermal office library. The largest of its kind in the world, located in Davis. Of course its a damn specialized library, so its probably the only one of its kind in the world.

The final package arrived for a new computer I'm building. The specs on it aren't great. But for <$250 I don't think I could have done too much better. Its better than my computer right now, and thats all I could ask for. Especially since I don't game like I used to.

One last thing is that I found out that my familia up in Oregon actually reads this blog sometimes. I'm amazed by that. If I didn't know me, I probably wouldn't read it. Hell, I don't think Jessica bothers to read it, or even set up the rss/atom feed for it.

Current Mood : I'm feeling fat. I need to be more active.

Current Music : I guess I'm about to start listening to a mix CD of american hardcore from 1979-1983. So it should be awesome.

Hey Mac and Jessica--you are right, your family does read your blog occasionally!! It lets me know what's up since we don't see each other all that often. I suppose I could just start calling randomly for updates! : )
It was great seeing you both at Christmas! Congrats on the job Jessica! and keep up the good work Mac!
