Of Blogs and Men

Basically I decided to add to my blog for 3 reasons as follows in no particular order:

1. I haven't written here in a while.
2. I feel like relaxing.
3. I am avoiding my real work.

Surprisingly #2 is actually true when I write in my blog. I guess I would think a diary is cool, but writing with pencils is actually pretty tiring. Ok, heres a cool fact I learned a couple weeks ago... The QWERTY style keyboard was actually made for old school typewriters to intentionally slow down people's typing speed. This was because if you went too fast, the typewriter would end up smudging a lot of letters and so in the end it was for readability.

#3 is probably equally important. I can't really stand my classes this quarter. Testing and Verification I knew would be boring since I have taken the undergraduate version of it before. But damn. I should have listened to myself and taken something else. Now I have to do a big report/presentation on Thursday on "Hybrid Verification Techniques" of which I currently know nothing about. My embedded systems class project is sort of interesting. However I really hate having to meet with the professor twice a week. Especially since I only work on the thing for several hours one time a week. Therefore I have nothing new to show for the second meeting. On the bright side, I am learning PERL as a byproduct of creating tests for the project.

Its Memorial Day weekend, and I'm at school because I need to do projects and I also need to hold the makeup session for my lab section which was cancelled this week due to a chemical spill in the building on Tuesday. That was actually pretty funny. However I don't think anyone will bother coming. Even though they should. Only time will tell.

P.S. Fanime or Famicon or something like that is this weekend in San Jose. I'm debating about whether or not I should go down there and go to it with The Vo. Any suggestions?
