So I've been listening to a lot of music since all I've been doing is layout at school (which is so boring and monotonous you can listen to music while you do it). I'd been pretty down and all recently because of all the work I have to do. But one thing I listened to cheered me up today. I'm not sure why this song in particular got my head bobbing. I've had this song on a compilation I got about 10 years ago. Anyways, the song is called "Believe In Something" by Youth Brigade. Now this is the band from LA, not the short lived Youth Brigade from DC. I recently picked up a best of album from the band which re-introduced me to the song.
For most of the song its pretty straight forward poppy punk rock, but the breakdown is what really gets me going. I think the lyrics also help me focus, "I want to believe in something." It pretty much says it all for me.
I couldn't find a link to this song on the net, so do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of it.
