So I got 50 free downloads that came with my Creative Zen V Plus off of the eMusic website. I have used this site once before since then I had 50 free downloads as well for being a new customer. Both times I have been impressed with this website. Its easy to navigate, the downloader they force you to get isn't really all that intrusive, and it simply works. The thing I really like about eMusic is that they don't cripple your mp3's with DRM. Thats right. Its DRM free! I've also noticed that they carry lots of smaller bands on this website. This could primarily be because the big labels don't want to have anything to do with them. But they do tout themselves as the largest retailer of independent music, which is something I support.
So with my free music, I downloaded some albums by several bands :
- Dance Hall Crashers
- The Lonely Kings
- Ensign
- The Selecter
- Napalm Death
- T.S.O.L. (True Sounds of Liberty)
Pretty good make out for a free trial.
