The many reviews and sounds I lifted appear to still maintain the classic tube sound, while being solid state, AKA, no vaccuum tubes. This is good for me, since I don't want to take care of a high maintenance amp, and don't want to risk blowing tubes when playing. Plus, I research solid state electronics, so I want to support the cause. I could have bought a modeling amp like the Line 6 or Behringer brands, but I'd rather have the versatility of this amp, without some digital sounds I probably won't use anyways. I plan on eventually getting a nice pedal setup anyways for those effects.
