MP3 Player Madness: Sansa Clip

So a while back, I left my Creative Zen V Plus in my car for a few weeks without using it. Sadly, it appears the battery is no longer good and can't hold a charge. I looked around online and found that I could order a battery, open up the mp3 player myself and risk killing it for $30 plus shipping. When I bought the thing for $80 this seemed like a waste of time and energy. Especially when I'm sure the battery would not be the only thing which might not be working. My warranty had run out and I decided I should just wait and hop on a deal for something else. That something else is the Sansa Clip 4GB version.

This player really surprised me. I never used the video capabilities of my Zen, so I decided I'd get something that concentrated on music, was small, and was had more storage than my Zen. So far it is everything I could ask for. In a CNET study, it was rated the 5th best audiophile mp3 player. And with the new firmware, it even supports OGG files (a free music file format). It is smaller than my zen, and has more space, everything I want.

The chip it uses is also really good for quality playback, and you can notice the difference. I remember not liking the sound quality when I first got my Zen compared to the Cube I had before. This player sounds amazing. And considering I got it for $50, it was the right buy.

P.S. I also got my modeling stuff for school to finally work. Life is good.

I was thinking of buying a new player I could take to the gym. Looked through a good number of mp3s and chose Sansa Clip. It's light and easily clips to the clothes, sounds good and is quickly navigated.
