Drum Update

So I found some good deals and bought most of the pieces to an electronic drumset. I pretty much have everything, and the pieces I don't have, I ordered online. I spent way more than I wanted to, but I guess its worth it. It is so sweet. I highly recommend it if you have no way to procure an acoustic version due to space or noise reasons.

My set is pieced together out of several manufacturers things. I got old Alesis pads, which are actually rebranded Hart Dynamics Acupads and a hammer kick off of eBay. They are damn nice. The mesh makes it feel like normal drums, although I guess my experience is pretty limited. I haven't played the acoustic set at my parent's place in a long long time. The cymbals look like they might be old Pintech Zenbals, which are dual trigger and chokable. I find the choking to be really cool. A nice little touch which makes it like a real cymbal. The nicest piece of equipment is the rack, which is a Gibraltar starter rack I bought new, but got 20% off at www.music123.com, plus all the accessorires I could want. Finally, I was going to get a cheapo module, but decided to go with the least expensive Roland instead. It was a good decision since I can take advantage of all the dual zones and abilities of the pads. I am missing a hi-hat, but I got a pedal controller off of eBay and a Roland CY-5 online, which should arrive this week. Anywho, here is a pic of it so far:

Besides messing with this awesome piece of equipment, I plan on updating all my online stuff. This could include myspace, facebook, the MCSG website, my personal website, and anything else I can think of.
