Movies and Bitches

Its been a while since I've posted anything real. I just thought I'd update people with thoughts of stuff...

I saw Wedding Crashers the other day. A terrific movie. Funniest film of the year so far in my opinion. As for the rest of the movie market... I keep reading about how Hollywood is behind in sales for movies by as much as 20% some weeks as they were last year. I really don't think its because of the internet or anything like that. They need to realize that the movies they have coming out year after year aren't going to be equally good, or even make as much money. For example, the two big budget flops these past couple weeks have been The Island and Stealth. Did anyone really expect these movies to do well? First of all, I hadn't heard much of The Island at all until it came out, even though I'm the correct age bracket for a movie like this. I had no idea what it was about, but once I did, it seemed a like it might be good. They needed to do some better target advertising with this movie. Second, anyone can tell that Stealth is probably going to be the biggest waste of time to see. Granted it probably will be a good action movie, and one that might do well on DVD and HBO and so on, but it doesn't look appealing as a must see movie of the summer. Although cool plotlines for both of these movies, neither is terribly original.

On a completely different note, I have to pick up my dog Lena from the breeder this weekend. She got laid and is going to have puppies in a couple months or something like that. Check out a link to the webpage which shows her bio n stuff.
