The title of this post is exactly what this post is... a distraction from doing my work. I've been sifting through Zulfi's (a guy that recently graduated from my research group) standard cell flow tutorial for quite a while now. I think I finally got everything to work and figured out what the problems were he had, and how he fixed all of them. The documentation for this stuff is horrible. I think maybe I'll make a nice HTML version of the whole process once I work the bugs out of it. All thats left for me is to adapt a PERL script he wrote for Liping's (another grad student I work with) DA (distributed arithmetic, don't ask) unit. However, I don't really know PERL. Eh, what better time to start learning.
In other news. I've been trying to get a bit of exercise this summer. I've gone jogging around the arboretum. My goal is to make it the entire way around the whole thing without stopping.
Ok, here is a cool thing. Its the fruits of my labor the past week. A complete layout of a DA unit.
