Music Review : The Clash, London Calling

So I was just listening to this album today and realized how great it is. When I first got it a while ago I was like "Ok, its pretty cool, but it doesn't have the songs that I really like by The Clash." However after having listened to it several times over the past year, I realized that it truly is great. Every song on this album makes we want to get up and start rocking out. This album doesn't really showcase much punk music, rather it blends it with elements of ska/reggae, pop, surf, disco, and whatever else you want. I guess thats why its so great. They just concentrate on making great music. Personal faves are Lost in the Supermarket, Lovers Rock, Train in Van, and Spanish Bombs. The title track rocks (London Calling), but is not the best on the CD.

Overall, hey, if Rolling Stone said this was number 8 on their countown of the top 500 albums of all time, its gotta mean something right?
