Movie Review : The Bourne Supremacy

I went to see this movie the other night with peeps cuz I just wanted to see any movie, since I haven't seen many movies this summer. I hadn't seen The Bourne Identity, but from what I hear, it is superior to this one. If that is the case, I now want to see it.

Now I've never considered myself a fan of Matt Damon, but after Stuck On You, Ocean's 11 and now The Bourne Supremacy, I am grudgingly considering him a good actor. You wouldn't think of him as an action star, which agreeingly he doesn't look it, but he fits this type of movie.

The plot of this movie isn't anything totally creative or individual by itself. The whole concept seems so lame that I'm sure it must have been done in other previous movies. However, the way in which they pull off the execution in this movie is superb. I went in not expecting much, and I got a fun action packed (with a serious tone) wannabe James Bondish type thing. Which I enjoyed.

Some might not like the constant shaky camera or the fact that some things just didn't make sense (at least to me), but I was willing to overlook those. Why did he bother talking to the girl at the end? Didn't it just ruin her life? Will she ever sleep sound at night again? How come his car was able to keep going after seemingly crashing into 10 other cars at high speeds? Why is Julia Stiles in the movie? These questions will never be answered. And I don't care if they ever are.

Bottom Line,

8.0 / 10
